Social Skills
Social skills continue to develop as students progress through high school. Social skills become increasingly important as the ability to know what to say, how to make good choices, and how to behave in a variety of situations influence many areas of life including academic success and social relationships.
At North Shore Speech Therapy, we aim to help teenagers develop a full repertoire of social skills, including:
• tone
• voice
• conversation skills
• assertiveness
• interpreting body language
• apologising
• giving compliments
• peer pressure
• resolving social problems
• thinking from the perspective of others
