Early Intervention Impact Tracker NDIS Updates

You may have heard in the media recently that the government has passed legislation for the changes to NDIS to come into place. While the full impact of these changes will vary from person to person, we understand that many families are experiencing changes to funding, planning processes, access to supports, and decision-making around what can be claimed through NDIS plans, particularly for children under 8 years old (through the Early Childhood Early Intervention pathway).
As a service that works closely with children and families, we are committed to supporting you through these changes and helping you navigate any challenges that arise. We know that the real-world impact of these changes isn’t always captured in the data used to make decisions.
So we want to share the Early Intervention Impact Tracker with you. This is an initiative from the National Allied Health Provider Group (NAHPG) designed to collect information about how NDIS changes are affecting children, families, and access to early intervention supports. The information gathered will help build a clearer understanding of real-world impacts and may contribute to advocacy efforts on behalf of children and families.

Early Intervention Impact Tracker
Changes might be:
- reduced or changed funding
- difficulty accessing early intervention or allied health services
- longer waits for support
- losing a trusted therapist or service
- having fewer choices about how or where support is provided
- increased costs or pressure on your family
- changes to your child’s participation, wellbeing or opportunities
- uncertainty about what happens next
Or anything else that is having an impact for your child or your family.
