North Shore Speech Therapy works on-site in schools across Sydney’s North Shore. We provide in-school services at around 20 schools, working closely with students to achieve their goals and with teachers to ensure a collaborative approach towards the reading, speaking and spelling progression of students. This includes public schools, as well as independent private and religious schools.
Depending on the needs of the school and its students, we offer systemic support as well as individual and group therapy. This means our therapists help to build the capabilities of parents and teachers to support all children within a school.
We also provide tailored workshops for parents and teachers, particularly on reading and spelling development, written language development and vocabulary learning. We also provide regular columns for school newsletters.
Our team can also conduct in-school screening sessions to help identify children who could benefit from therapy for speech, language or literacy issues.
