We have a rare opening on our leadership team. The successful applicant will help to lead our team of awesome Speech Pathologists with care and candour through supervision and mentoring, while contributing to North Shore Speech Therapy and managing their own client caseload.

Join our leadership team and be a Senior Speech Pathologist at North Shore Speech Therapy. You will help our therapists and our clients to achieve their goals while also helping our business grow.

  • Help identify strengths in others, offer support, and guide your team to achieve and remain engaged through regular 1:1 coaching/supervision sessions.
  • Connect with the team in regular team meetings, Professional Development days and informal catch ups.
  • Help ensure North Shore Speech Therapy remains a standout clinic with outstanding team management, continual revision of operational systems, assisting with new initiatives and overseeing the development of resources.
  • Develop your supervision and coaching skills with the support of fellow supervisors, our Clinical Lead and the leadership team.

The Role

  • Provide Speech Pathology services to our clients who present with speech, early language, preschool language, school aged language, fluency, literacy, written language, feeding, ASD, NDIS and more.
  • Work with their families and our local schools to gain the best results for your clients.
  • Be autonomous and well-supported at the same time. You’re in charge of your caseload from assessment to discharge and we support you to do outstanding work.
  • Up-skill in more specialised areas with full training in areas such as Dyslexia, Written Language and School-aged Language.
  • Network with our local referrers through team events and parent information sessions.
  • Supervise speech pathologists including new graduates
  • Oversee induction of new therapists to get our new team mates off to a flying start.
  • Identify areas for improving clinic CEIs and oversee projects to improve our client care.
  • Participate in Professional Development with Supervision focus
  • Participate in mentoring
  • Help create a culture of feedback and growth amongst therapists

Essential

  • A passion for Speech Pathology
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience with paediatric caseload
  • Hold a Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Masters of Speech Pathology or Equivalent
  • Registered with Speech Pathology Australia as a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist
  • Current Working With Children Check
