Thanks for Coming to our Paediatric Speechies Showcase!

Our recent ‘Shaping the Future for Paediatric Speechies’ Showcase was a resounding success!

We welcomed students and aspiring therapists from a range of universities and at all stages of their degrees to our Chatswood speech therapy clinic on Thursday the 8th of August. This event provided a fabulous showcase of our team’s talents and strengths and was a dynamic platform for connecting with the next generation of speech pathologists.

The event was buzzing with energy and enthusiasm. Our team presented engaging and interactive modules in Neurodiverse Affirming Practice, Time Management and Avoiding Burnout, Goal setting, Communicating with Parents and Carers and Top Tips for Early Career Therapists – offering insights into our own areas of expertise and sharing our real-world experiences.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the showcase was the opportunity to network and learn more from the students, as well as make connections between experienced and up-and-coming therapists. We loved getting to know the speech pathology students and hearing about their goals and aspirations, while sharing our own personal stories of our career journeys and highlights.

We were proud to show aspiring therapists around our clinic and share some delicious food throughout the evening. As a bonus each attendee received a gift bag and North Shore Speech Therapy Handbook to take with them!

We loved working together as a North Shore Speech therapy team to host and share this amazing showcase and are honoured to be supporting future speech pathologists! We hope to welcome them back at NSST soon!
