Workshops for parents and teachers, holiday programs for children
A lot of people just aren’t aware of everything that speech therapists can do. Our workshop sessions are a fun and engaging way to let parents and teachers know about the diversity of speech language pathology.
This includes information for teachers on the role of speech therapy in treating delays with reading and spelling, as well as learning disorders like Dyslexia. We can help to pinpoint some of the reasons why children in your class are struggling with sight words or struggling with maths despite having a good grasp of numbers.
A lot of people just aren’t aware of everything that speech therapists can do. Our workshop sessions are a fun and engaging way to let parents and teachers know about the diversity of speech language pathology. In addition to our workshops, we can also do screening sessions at your school or preschool to assess children in an environment they are already comfortable.
For parents of pre-schoolers, our workshops can help with identifying the need for early intervention with speech delays and articulation, as well as fussy eating, comprehension and expression, stuttering, school readiness and social skills, and pre-literacy skills development. We’ll provide parents with factual information on the development of sounds to sentences so you can get help if your child needs it and not miss that vital early intervention window.
For parents of school aged children, our sessions can highlight the role of expressive and receptive language skills and phonics for learning success, as well as social skills development.
