We are current seeking a Specialist Speech Pathologist (Disability) to join our established practice located across three clinics on Sydney’s North Shore. This role involves the responsibilities of an Associate Speech Pathologist with further criteria (see below) also being met.

You’ll also be assisted by our skilled client support team, HR and IT. This means you can spend more time working with children and less time trying to keep the show running.

Clinical Expectations

  • Demonstrate and deliver high level of clinical skills across a broad range of paediatric client types and provide excellent level of clinical skill in the areas of disability, additional and or complex needs and NDIS, and paediatric feeding.
  • Support other clinicians across NSST in the areas of disability, additional and or complex needs and NDIS, and paediatric feeding.
  • Actively promote early intervention for all target areas.
  • Is a role model for implementing NSST clinical policies and procedures and supports others to do the same.
  • Provide feedback on policies and procedures to ensure that they are relevant, achievable and current and that they address the needs and support quality service delivery to clients with disability, additional and or complex needs and NDIS, and paediatric feeding.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and organisation skills and support other therapists to develop their own skills.

Essential

  • Holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Masters of Speech Pathology or Equivalent
  • Is registered with Speech Pathology Australia as a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist
  • At least 3 years post graduate clinical experience
  • Post graduate experience working in disability and/or with clients with additional and/ or complex needs
  • Experience of working with NDIS funded clients and aware of the NDIS policies and practises

Desirable

  • Experience working with paediatric clients with feeding difficulties
  • Experience in mentoring others
  • Experience leading CQI projects to plan and evaluate speech pathology services
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary partners
